How New Man Readers Helped Create the Hucka-BOOM
Huckabee signs a copy of New Man Magazine in Iowa last summer. photo by: Melissa Carlo of the Ottumwa Courier |

At a fundraiser last week in Orlando, Fla., he told supporters that his recent surge came from his surprise second-place finish in the Aug. 11 Iowa Straw Poll. And that surprise came because New Man got behind him early last summer when he was merely an asterisk in the polls.
Did you see that article in the July/August issue of New Man? The cover proclaimed: "The Case for How Mike Huckabee Can Be the Next U.S. President." The sub headline read: "Why we think the former Arkansas governor (who espouses our values) could actually win.” READ MORE! |

As a Participant on Survivor Austin Carty learned valuable lessons about himself and God.
by Austin Carty I was soaked: my pants heavy with water, my shirt clinging tight against my chest. The rain beat down, cold and sharp. As the storm persisted, the ground below me began to flood. I felt puddles rising up over my feet and ankles. The few words exchanged between my sole companion and me were lost in the sound of the wind lashing the trees above us.
Don't let any cynic tell you Survivor isn't real. Such perceptions are held only by those who have never been marooned on an island, left to brave a 24-hour monsoon without shelter. READ MORE! |

Sex, Lies and Forgiveness
By Douglas Weiss, Ph.D. American culture has gone out of control with sex. In one generation we went from Leave it to Beaver to Sex in the City! This insatiable desire for the provocative has lead our culture into a tidal wave of sexuality that is directly opposed to God--and to common sense. The sad news is that many Christ-loving men have been taught by our culture about sex and are now becoming part of what I term the "my sex” movement. READ MORE! |
Perfect Weight America Challenge
By Drew Dyck The years have not been kind to New Man editor Drew Dyck. In five years of marriage he has ballooned from 190 to 236 pounds. He says it’s his wife’s good cooking—of course his love of fast food and his hatred of treadmills probably don’t help either. Whatever the cause, today the former college athlete is a pudgy, unhealthy coach potato. But he’s sick of being out of shape, so he’s taking action! READ MORE! |

MORE REVIEW Even if National Treasure: Book of Secrets were not a sequel, the new film would still serve well as a stand-alone fable about the pursuit of wealth. Though the original revolved around Benjamin Gates (Nicholas Cage) protecting artifacts from modern-day pirates, the second film places its true treasure in family and reputation, an excellent illustration of Proverbs 22:1.
